down the ever winding road.

yesterday was my first day stepping into NTU. and i got lost.

based on the map i received in the matriculation package, the entrance to the medical centre was 7 bus stops from boon lay bus interchange. relying on my fantastic map-reading skills, i got down at the 8th bus stop and found myself outside the science dorms(this simply means that if i ever get to go on the amazing race, i do all the driving). anyway, i realised i was lost (1st time) and i had to cross the road to ask a very nice couple the way to the medical centre. based on their recommendations, i took shuttle bus A and told the uncle to let me know when we reached the south spine. being a very nice bus drive uncle (with rather hip taste in music), he opened the doors at the purported south spine. getting down, i found myself facing a group of construction workers and a forest! lol. i was like, what the heck. im lost again (2nd time). i had no choice but to walk down the slope (which reminded me so much of crescent)and call zaria to report my distress status. HAHA. honestly, i would rather wander around lost than ask people but i was a lone ranger. and lone rangers who haven't eaten their breakfast and have only a half-filled bottle of water can't wander around forever! then a bunch of guys walked past. and i was like, what the heck again. but i had to get to the medical centre by 12 so i walked up to them asked for directions. and i must say they were a very interesting bunch of people especially the one with the earring and mini-goatee. yowza! LOL. finally made my way to the medical centre after further directions from an indian lady who kept calling me 'dear' and a very nice PRC scholar.

went down to town for post medical checkup/pre xray shopping. BY MYSELF. i have finally conquered orchard alone! i have nothing to fear anymore! LOL. the xray was weird to say the least but at least it was over pretty quickly.
