one by one, popping 'em bubbles.

since the brother has to go to school still and can only help on the weekends, i have been moonlighting as the 'contractor' around my house. together with my dad, i've lifted cupboards, dismantled beds and done tons of stuff i think only yihuan on the 9pm show can relate to. the biggest benefit of course is the beginning of two tiny mounds on each of my arms, a far cry from the flaccid jello-like substance that purports to be my arms. everyday before this, i would lug killer bag after school to my house and go home 'whitened' by plaster and cement and what not. but the house looks absolutely gorgeous. the electrician put up the lights yesterday and it was well worth the hassle walking down the entire stretch of balestier, then imm, to find the perfect ones.

needless to say, while hanging around my parents and the contractors for days, i've managed to pick up some hokkien. i can say 'ah-nee kuan kao liao', 'ho bo', 'ee kong coke, neng pei si' and i know my numbers till 4! thats enough for me to uphold a conversation with the food hawkers.

can't wait to finally go home on saturday although there's still a whole bunch of stuff to be done, shopping and cleaning (ugh!). but what the heck. home sweet home.

come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away.

song i can't get out of my head : smack that - akon feat eminem

it's been a pretty aiight week so far, given that it is the last official week of the semester. been getting back all the reports and assignments, together with paticipation and presentation points. my group did rather well for both accounting practice assignment and project, and IT project; i got a C+/B- (im not too sure) for the assignment, we got an A+ on the accounting project and an A- on the latter! *woot* haha considering that felicia was fretting over our IT grade due to certain issues, i'd say we did rather good :)

after almost two years of seeing E's and O's on my result slips, it is a VERY welcomed change to see two As! :)))

went out on tuesday with the accounting group/usual tuesday lunch people to celebrate our accomplishment. a quick lunch at jurong point turned out to be a three hour ghost story fest at pizza hut, amidst much nonsensical swooning over edison chen and louis koo. the main question of the day was: would you marry a guy who was ugly but saved your life by giving you his liver?

train-ed down to good ol' gombak after to meet the parents before jetting back to the hotel. actually, it's pretty happening (in a good way) around the hotel im staying at haha. the food is fantasmagoric man! had bloody good salted chicken rice on monday and superb black pepper venison last night. and to top it off, the hotel is two bus stops away from a certain person's house - although im not sure if that's good or bad haha.

hanging around the free access lab right now, waiting for 3.30 to arrive so i can go for biz law. and get my grade for the assignment. *dum dum dum dum* haha for some reason, im absolutely terrified. but oh wells, might as well get it over with.

my tummy is full from the muffin and cup of macchiato i had for lunch just now, not counting the char siew pao and bread i had for breakfast, but the weather outside is just dreadful. thank goodness i wasn't wearing my fly-able skirt haha! but then again, considering what i ate, there's not much the gale outside could have done anyway!

life in a suitcase; im living out of it.

my house is empty. everything that has been here for the past ten years, since we moved in, is gone. except for the wardrobes and the sofa, everything else has been thrown away. my mum spent the better half of the morning saying goodbye and thanking the refrigerator for almost 18 years of service amidst frantic packing and conpulsive ironing (on my dad's side). and now, im sitting on the floor writing this, vaguely aware that the television sounds louder than it usually is. suddenly, i wish i was taking lit again in uni, where all i would have to do is write. no calculations, no formulae. just me, my thoughts and my feelings. i want to feel the delirium of being transported into another time and place, to be someone else; to feel all they are feeling, even if it's simply for a page or two. being an invited intruder. i miss all of that. i don't ever want to wake up and realise that i have lost my passion for words and my love for writing. maybe thats why im still blogging, albeit about the most boring of days. it gives me an excuse to write, whether it makes sense or otherwise.

tomorrow marks the beginning of my three week stay at hotel hamilton. it also means that i have one week till the exams start, for which i am so unpreparesd. yet, i seem to be taking great pride in being the undefeated queen of hearts and spider solitaire now.

i feel like dancing, dancing.

i was so productive today, it's almost scary.

IT lesson was pretty alright today, until midway through the extended excel lab. i neary died when all the work that i had been doing for the past hour turned into mumbo-jumbo because i accidentally hit enter for the scenarion analysis. thank goodness for felicia, who sent me her file, not that it made any difference since both our graphs ended up being very different from the master student's haha.

original plan: skip lunch, study fm in the libby, lose weight. revised plan: ate yong tau foo, yak yak yak, gained weight. haha spent almost all of lunch regaling felicia with the crazy stories of our antics in secondary school. there was the CSI team (stef, yarn, geok cheng and i) who took turns being both the cadavers and the detectives, complete with one watergun and one terminator gun. then there was the amazing race conquest(s), twister games in the afternoons, gambling in our makeshift den... i couldnt list down all the retarded things we did haha. gosh, we were nuts! but it was a great four years with great friends :))

i spent the longest time in accounting lecture trying to figure out the word for productivity, until i realised up the treacherous mountain of stairs, that the word for productivity is productivity.

oh and check out the picture i found while doing my presentation on tiger beer! SO HAWT BABY! :))))

better get back to my presentation. wentworth miller tonight!
